Donna Brazile (born December 15, 1959) is an American author, academic, and political analyst who is Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. She was the first African American to direct a major presidential campaign, acting as campaign manager for Al Gore in 2000. She briefly served as interim Chair for the DNC in the spring of 2011. Along with Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, she is one of the real-life political figures to cameo as herself in the CBS drama ''The Good Wife''. ==Education== Donna Brazile earned a bachelor's degree in industrial psychology from Louisiana State University in 1981, and is a Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
